Veterinary Surgeon Vacancies

We are looking for a motivated, forward-thinking vet to join our well-established team.

This role is flexible so could accommodate someone looking for part-time or full-time hours. We have an RCVS accredited hospital, as well as 5 branches across York and Malton, so we have the potential to offer a role that suits the right candidate.

We support and encourage CPD and further development and as a team we are always learning and collaborating. We try to promote a good work/life balance, whilst still seeing varied and exciting cases and we have our own dedicated night team. We aim to offer a great service to our clients and patients.

Salary range depending on experience and hours. Vet’s with over one year of experience will be considered.

Nursing Vacancies

Registered Veterinary Nurse

 

We have positions available for full-time and part time permanent RVN’s to join our friendly nursing team at our 24-hour hospital. 

 

At The Minster Veterinary practice, we pride ourselves on offering a high standard of patient care to the animals of York. We have a well-equipped RCVS accredited hospital, with a forward-thinking and supportive team. We are looking for a motivated individual who would enjoy using their nursing skills across theatre, in-patient care and nursing clinics. We are looking for someone with good experience of veterinary nursing, excellent customer service and communication skills, be an effective team player and able to use your own initiative when required. 

 

We are a dynamic practice who aim to offer a very high standard of care for our patients across a wide range of cases and species. We have all the facilities to support this including laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, dental x-ray, CT machine, an array of monitoring equipment and more. We perform a full range of orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries as well as busy inpatient wards and full clinics. 

 

Our nursing team are all involved in these cases and so there are significant opportunities to scrub into theatre, do complex anaesthetics and help with medical investigations and inpatient care, along with a range of nurse clinic appointments. We are also happy to support all staff members with opportunities for further development once qualified.

 

 

  • 40 hours/week average full time. Part time 2 days per week
  • 1:4 weekends (supported)
  • Full driving licence essential
  • Competitive salary plus benefits including Healthshield and Cycle to work scheme

  • Salary range £25,000-£29,000 pro rata, dependent on experience/qualifications

Reception Maternity Cover

Receptionist Maternity cover

We currently have the opportunity for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our modern small animal practice based in beautiful York with branches at Haxby, Strensall, Copmanthorpe, Crockey Hill and Malton.

We are looking for an individual ideally with good communication skills, who works well within a team. They must have a good telephone manner and take pride in offering excellent customer service to our clients and their pets.

The role is a one year fixed term contract for 20 hours per week including weekends and Bank Holidays. One in four weekends working 8 hours on a Saturday and sunday.

We are a RCVS accredited hospital as well as branches, offering a variety of veterinary services. This includes our own dedicated team of OOH staff who provide overnight care to our own inpatients as well as other patients.
