Part‑Time Receptionist

Minster Veterinary Hospital – Salisbury Road, York

Hours: 24 hours per week (shift‑based rota)
Weekends: 1 in 4 full weekends, with days back in lieu
Salary: From £12.71 per hour (dependent on experience)

We are looking for awarm, organised, and confident Receptionist to join our client‑care team. As the first point of contact, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive experience for every client who walks through our doors or calls for support.

About the Role

This is a shift‑based position, working 24 hours per week across a rotating schedule. You will also work 1 in 4 full weekends, with days back in lieu.

You will be required to work across all Minster Veterinary Practice branches, including:

• Willow Grove
• Copmanthorpe
• Crockey Hill
• Haxby
• Malton
• Our main hospital on Salisbury Road

Flexibility to travel between sites is essential, and your rota will include shifts at different locations depending on service needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming clients and their pets with professionalism and empathy
• Managing phone calls, appointment bookings, and general enquiries
• Supporting clinical teams with administrative tasks
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day front‑of‑house operations
• Helping create a calm, friendly, and efficient environment for clients and colleagues
